01 EGO란

1. 정의

• 'Enterprise Grid Orchestrator'
• provides a system infrastructure to control and manage cluster resources by enabling EGO
  • 자원(resource): physical and logical entities that are used by applications; e.g., shared memory segments/semaphores, CPU slots, CPU utilization, OS type, etc.

2. EGO를 사용하여 LSF가 Resources 공유하는 방법

• LSF resources can be shared by defining an EGO resource distribution plan.
  • LSF requests resources from the EGO resource manager.
  • Based on the values specified in the resource distribution plan, the resource manager returns the number of available slots (m) and the names of the hosts on which the slots reside.
